What a Grand Finale!

The 14th edition of the IBIBO International Bowling Open has come to an unforgettable close, and what a finish it was!

At only 17 years old, Balazs-Becsi Mate from Romania delivered a truly spectacular performance, rising above a field packed with international talent to claim the IBIBO 2025 Champion title. His game was calm and precise, a masterclass of focus and technique that left the audience in awe.

The final was dominated by Romanian players, despite more than half of the qualified athletes coming from abroad. Dragnia Mihai Alin secured an impressive second place, while Romeo Gagenoiu fought his way to the third spot, overcoming the Greek contender Montsenigos Eleftherios in a thrilling match. (You can view the full final ranking here and the recording of the final on YouTube)

With unusual high scores and electric energy all around, this was a final to remember, a perfect showcase of passion, skill, and sportsmanship. And, of course, the after-party was unforgettable, celebrating not only the winners but every bowler who made this event so special.

A huge thank you to all participants, supporters, and partners who made IBIBO 2025 such a success. Your energy and enthusiasm continue to define the spirit of this tournament.

We can’t wait to see you all again next year.  IBIBO 2026 promises to be even bigger, bolder, and better!
Until then… keep rolling strong!

Final Day Begins: The Battle for the IBIBO 2025 Title!

After eight thrilling days of competition, IBIBO 2025 has reached its decisive stage: the Finals!
Yesterday’s last qualification squads didn’t bring a significant reshuffle at the top, with Simon Hrusovsky from Slovakia still holding the lead. But the real drama unfolded near the cutoff line, where the fight for the last places in the Final could not have been tighter. And here, the final Qualification ranking does not tell the whole story.

The line for the Top 40 was drawn at an average of 196.83, with Liav Yehene, the first player out, missing qualification by just 0.33  (2 pins). And to make the story even more bittersweet, the same unlucky player finished third in the Desperado Squad, missing qualification once again.

In a twist worthy of the big stage, Peretz Doron-Hai rolled a perfect 300 game, yet even that incredible performance wasn’t enough to push him into the Final.

That’s bowling at its most unforgiving, and most exciting!

Today promises a full day of competition, tension, and world-class bowling. After the first four steps, which reduce the pack from 48 to 4, the final step will produce the champion through three direct matches.

And after the pins stop rolling, it’s time to celebrate!

All players, officials, and guests are invited to the IBIBO 2025 Afterparty, taking place tonight right after the Award Ceremony. Join us for music, lights, and the stories of an unforgettable week on the lanes.

Let the Finals begin. Good luck to all athletes, and may the best athlete win!

Day 8: The Final Push for Qualification!

It’s the last day of qualification at IBIBO 2025, and the standings have never been more unpredictable!
After seven intense days of competition, the leaderboard saw major changes, with athletes from Germany, Lithuania, Cyprus, and Israel now dominating the Top 20, Simon Hrusovsky from Slovakia leading the pack. The scoring pace remains high, with the 200 average line currently at position 24.

Last night’s final squad brought even more drama, a brief power outage pushed play well past midnight, with games wrapping up around 2 AM. Yet, true to IBIBO spirit, everyone was back early this morning, ready and focused for the first squad of the day.

Today’s action will conclude with the high-stakes Desperado Squad, expected to finish well after midnight, the very last chance to secure a spot in the Final!

And as if that’s not enough excitement, the Afterparty poster is now allover the Club!

Everyone is invited to celebrate with us tomorrow night, right after the Final and Award Ceremony. It’s going to be a night to remember!

Day 7 at IBIBO 2025: The Calm Before the Storm?

It’s the morning of Day 7 at the IBIBO International Bowling Open, and the competition is entering its decisive phase. Despite a packed schedule and strong foreign attendance, the expected reshuffle in the rankings hasn’t happened yet.

The bowlers who made their mark in the first four days continue to hold their ground, showing remarkable consistency and composure under pressure. Only two German players have managed to break into the top ten so far — a sign that early performances might once again prove decisive.

But this is just the beginning of the day, and as every IBIBO fan knows, things can change quickly. With high scores still possible and a few top international names yet to make their debut, the stage is set for dramatic turns ahead.

Don’t miss the action — live commentary continues on the YouTube stream from our tried and trusted Vali Piros, bringing every moment straight from the lanes to your screen.

Stay tuned — the tension is building, and Day 7 may yet rewrite the story of IBIBO 2025!
