After eight thrilling days of competition, IBIBO 2025 has reached its decisive stage: the Finals!
Yesterday’s last qualification squads didn’t bring a significant reshuffle at the top, with Simon Hrusovsky from Slovakia still holding the lead. But the real drama unfolded near the cutoff line, where the fight for the last places in the Final could not have been tighter. And here, the final Qualification ranking does not tell the whole story.
The line for the Top 40 was drawn at an average of 196.83, with Liav Yehene, the first player out, missing qualification by just 0.33 (2 pins). And to make the story even more bittersweet, the same unlucky player finished third in the Desperado Squad, missing qualification once again.
In a twist worthy of the big stage, Peretz Doron-Hai rolled a perfect 300 game, yet even that incredible performance wasn’t enough to push him into the Final.
That’s bowling at its most unforgiving, and most exciting!
Today promises a full day of competition, tension, and world-class bowling. After the first four steps, which reduce the pack from 48 to 4, the final step will produce the champion through three direct matches.
And after the pins stop rolling, it’s time to celebrate!
All players, officials, and guests are invited to the IBIBO 2025 Afterparty, taking place tonight right after the Award Ceremony. Join us for music, lights, and the stories of an unforgettable week on the lanes.
Let the Finals begin. Good luck to all athletes, and may the best athlete win!
